Spud Legs for Pontoons and Barges

Spud legs for mooring are steel tubes that slide down through a female bracket bolted to the pontoon. They drop down into the river bed and hold the pontoon in position. They are much safer and more efficient than using mooring lines:

  • Quick and easy to reposition.
  • Keeps the waterway open to other traffic.
  • Raised and lowered with a winch.

There are several sizes and options available, depending on the location and the size of the ScaffFloat:

Up to 2m water depth, slow flowing rivers and max pontoon weight 5t

Up to 3m water depth, 2m/s flow and max pontoon weight 5t.

Up to 8m water depth, 2m/s flow and max pontoon weight 15t.

Up to 10m water depth, 2m/s flow and max pontoon weight 25t.
