Unless specifically exempt, all our ScaffFloats are fitted with handrails and kickboards.
Handrails can come into contact with the structure, and if a hand is wrapped around the rail this can cause injury. Where appropriate we fit double handrails so the outer handrail comes into contact with the structure and protects the internal handrail used to hold onto.
ScaffFloat’s safety and support boats are durable and versatile Whaly boats that can be factored into an overall site rescue plan in a primary or supportive role. They are highly maneuverable, equipped with MCA-approved safety equipment, and manned by qualified personnel with MoB training.
We can provide pontoons which are specifically suited to take the weight of a welfare unit, with a stability survey conducted by naval architects to ensure it is safe and suitable with its higher center of gravity.
We can add an overhead gantry around the pontoon for work lights and to run cables clear of the deck. We can also extend this to provide a frame for tarpaulins to provide shelter from the rain or sun.
