Problem
Volker Laser required floating access to support a 10-week program of bridge maintenance work on the March Town Bridge.
Solution
ScaffFloat mobilised a 6 x 3.2m self-propelled pontoon with a single 50hp outboard. Once our team had mobilised the pontoon and moved it to the site they then assessed the appropriate members of the onsite team to skipper the pontoon during the project. Once signed off by our team, the pontoon was signed over to the clients for the duration of the project.
Shortly after the start of the project, we returned to the site to add a water-level shelf to the pontoon and provide a small Whaly support boat to aid crew transfers. During the remaining works, ScaffFloat supported the client team remotely and returned to the site as needed. On completion of the project, ScaffFloat returned to the site to demobilise.
